It was made by studio tokyo movie shinsha (tms) and was directed by yoshio takeuchi (harlock saga) for the first half and the second half was directed by kenji kodama (city hunter). In recent years, the anthology film has made a bit of a comeback, from the standard multiple entry film (“v/h/s” and “the abc’s of death”) to the narrative film with clearly divided sections but some level of connective tissue (“the signal” and “i sell the dead”). Cat’s eye is a fun 80’s anthology crafted from the work of stephan king. Full review | original score:
